Chapter 226 226 – A Bug

The dungeon situation in the Ashenburg royal palace was getting more chaotic. The little bug kept flying past people, cutting their bodies.

The wizards and the soldiers on guard continued to attack the bug, but their efforts were in vain because the creature was too small and agile.

"We must run, your highness!" Killian tried to pull King Sheamus, who just stood still, looking at the bug. "It's very dangerous here!"

But the king pushed his advisor, then spoke to the insect. "Hey, we didn't mean anything bad to you! It was we who summoned you here! So, stop rampaging! This is an order from me, the king of Ashenburg!!!"

That insect stopped in midair after knocking down many humans. Slowly, that creature approached the king.

"Please, your highness. Run from here." Killian so desperately pulled the king's hand. "I know you want to be a brave king, but this is an extremely dangerous deed. "You can't die here. You have to be there for your people and country."

The king's legs were shaking, and his face was pale with fright, but he felt this was his responsibility. He's the one who agreed to this. So, he can't run away.

The little monster stopped very close to the king's face, circled around the country's leader's head, then flew in another direction.

With the speed of a bullet, the tiny creature entered the mouth of a black, wavy-haired female soldier. She dropped her sword, clutched her neck, widened her eyes, and stuck out her tongue.

"Help…. Me…." She stretched out her hand to reach someone. But before anyone could help her, the woman collapsed, face down on the ground.

"Don't come near her!" The bearded wizard gave a warning. "We don't know what will happen! Just stay where you are!!!"

After the wizard spoke, the female warrior's body convulsed like crazy.

And her body straightened up on its own as if some invisible force was pulling her to her feet.

"What the hell?" The king lowered his chin and flinched as soon as that female soldier opened her eyes.

"Ah, I didn't realize I had killed this many." She glanced around at the scattered corpses. "Once back in this world, my mind was in turmoil. I attack what is in front of me without thinking. Well, it's pretty fun, anyway."

The king gulped. "Who exactly are you? Are you still the soldier who was guarding me?"

"You summoned me without knowing who I am?" She spread her hands. "Really? You should give me a proper welcome. I'm the only demon lord in this world, Hiana. Have you all forgotten me? This is practically an insult, you know?""

The other humans were silent until one of the male soldiers responded.

"Are you drunk again? Your name is Rebecca, not Hiana." He said while raising his sword. "And indeed, this world only knows one demon lord, but that isn't you. It's Vorn. He was the one who spread evil in this world in the past year."

Hiana frowned. "Vorn? What kind of name is that? You guys should have read the history about me. I am the demon lord who brings darkness to the world, not Vorn. Since I was born tens of thousands of years ago, I haven't even heard of that name."

The others fell silent again.

"Oh, come on." Hiana snorted. She started removing the armor on her body. "Don't you guys remember my epic battle with Lyra the prophet? Have you forgotten I used to try to seduce Orrian, who was Lyra's predecessor? That bastard flatly turned me down, though."

There was no other answer, and that made the veins on Hiana's face tighten.

"It seems that you have taken over that young woman's body." The bearded wizard ventured to speak. "And we never found any records or anything about you or the events you mentioned. My team and I sensed your presence in a mysterious another dimension."

Hiana sighed, looking up. "It seems my existence in this world has been lost, even in time. People forget me. I was carried by some power into something…. I think the correct term is nothingness. It's as if I never existed in this world."

"You said you are the real demon lord in this world?" The king replied.

"Yes." Hiana's mouth curved into a broad smile, but her eyes showed excessive intensity. She looks like a madman. "I will reclaim my throne again."

"Our goals are aligned." King Sheamus dared to take a step forward. "I also want to destroy Vorn. He is a big threat to our country…."

"But I don't need you, human." Hiana gave the king a disgusted look. "I'm not in the mood because my throne was taken."

She jumped and was about to attack the king. But her hand stopped a few inches from the country's leader's neck.

"What?" She looked bewildered, don't know why her hand stopped by itself. That woman then glanced at the bearded wizard.

"We used a special barrier magic, so you can't attack the people here." That wizard began to explain. "But when you came here, the magic didn't seem to work very well. I fix it on the go."

The king desperately kept himself standing, even though his legs were already weak with fear. "You will benefit from working with us. We will provide the resources you need."

Hiana snorted again, moving away from the king, and approaching the wizard. "You will know the consequences of messing with me."

She then walked to the center of the room and sat down. "I want to hear the state of this world in as much detail as possible."

The wizard took a deep breath. "It's a very long story. Vorn has done a lot for the world...."

"I have time." Hinata massaged his shoulders. "But tell it in a more interesting way, so I don't get bored."

"This story begins when a dark magus resurrects the demon lord..."

"Don't call him a demon lord." The demon woman is getting frustrated. "I am the real demon lord! He's just an impersonator!"
